Basic Information Kiwanis CLub of the Northern Neck covers the Lower Northern Neck. We are one of nine clubs in Division 4 of the Captial District, which is comprised of Virginia, Delaware, Maryland and Washington D.C. What the Name "Kiwanis" means The name "Kiwanis" was coined from an expression in an AMerican Indian language of the Detroit are, Nunc Kee-wanis, which means "we trade" or "we have a good time." Where and When We Meet St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Kilmarnock, Virginia. Regular meeting is Breakfast each Wednesday 7:30AM to 8:30AM. The Board of Directors meet on the 3rd Monday at 4PM at RW-C. What We Do at Club Meetings Meeings open with a patriotic song, pledge to the flag, and invocation. Breakfast is served. Club business and announcements preceed a program with a speaker and/or entertainment. What it costs New Member Initiation fee is $25.00. Monthly dues (includes meals) is $35.00. What We Expect of Members Regular attendance at club meetings, active participation in fundraising projects, commitment of time and effort to community service, acceptance of the responsibility inherent in any committee appointment or elected office.
